Hunger Ball
We were very fortunate today to participate in Hunger ball run by Counties Manukau and supported by KPMG. What a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki. For those who don't know what hungerball is it's very similar to indoor soccer except you have multiple goals. Check out our video!

Road Patrol People of 2019
A big thank you to our Road patrollers for doing a fabulous job of keeping our children safe at the pedestrian crossing during rain or shine. Thanks Ben for managing these students and organising the school trip to Mac Donalds and Jump in Takanini.
Another big thank you to Naomi for helping to supervise the trip and a extra big thank you to Raina and Pete for helping to finance this trip.

Our Scholarship Assembly and Gift Giving
Another year of amazing gifts and treats delivered by our friends K.P.M.G every year with the help of Formica and K.P.M.G we award some lucky year 8 students a scholarship award which will help with their high school education.
This year Faith and Henrietta will receive full scholarships including school fees and boarding fees to attend Mount Albert Grammar School.

Our Senior St John First Aid course
A big thank you to Sue from St John's for coming out to teach us about CPR
Our First Aid Session
The Senior students in the learning hub learnt about Adult CPR
D - dangers, ensure safety of yourself, others and the patient.
R - response, check response using voice and touch
S - send for help - if there is no response, call 111 and as for the Ambulance
A - airway - tilt the head back and lift the chin.
B - breathing, look, listen and feel for normal breathing
C - commence CPR - If not breathing normally: Place two hands in the centre of the chest. Push down HARD and FAST 30 times, then give 2 breaths. Continue until the ambulance arrives.
D - defibrillation - Attach and AED (defibrillator) if available and follow the instructions
